The
Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part
1 is a science
fiction adventure movie in 2014 directed by Francis
Lawrence and written by Danny Strong. This is
the first film of a two-part film
based on the novel Mockingjay, the final book of the trilogy The Hunger Games, written
by Suzanne Collins, and is the third film in the series The Hunger Games.
The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson
and Liam Hemsworth.
This is the sequel to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and will be followed by the entry of the second part of the
film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part
2. The film has entered
the list of the most anticipated
films in 2014 by

After being
rescued from the arena which was destroyed in the Hunger Games 75, Katniss
Everdeen, along with the winners, Beetee and Finnick Odair, was taken to
District 13, a headquarters uprising underground hidden in the ruins of
District 13, where he was reunited with mother
and Prim. While
recuperating, he was introduced to the President Alma Coin, the leader of the
revolt, saying that his actions in the arena sparked riots and attacks against
the Capitol. Coin
asks her if she would be "Mockingjay" -simbol uprising-as part of a
"hearts and minds" of their strategy. Katniss
flatly refused, angrily reminded that they leave Peeta are now in the hands of
the Capitol. On
the advice Plutarch Heavensbee, former Gamemaker, he was taken to see the ruins
of District 12, which completely leveled by bombing the Capitol (with the
exception of the winner village). After
seeing that Peeta is being broadcast on television Capitol to try and quell the
rebellion, Katniss changed his mind and agreed to be the Mockingjay, provided that
Peeta and the other winners will be saved and forgiven if the rebels win the
battle against the Capitol.
